Where to eat in the Netherlands, region by region
The Dutch eat dinner early, snack all day and have a long habit of borrowing from everyone they trade with. Start with the dishes and drinks of each region, then the places that do them best: the herring stand, the brown cafe, the Indonesian rijsttafel and the starred rooms. City guides cover Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague.
