When to go and what is in season

São Paulo food calendar: month by month → What is in season, what to eat and the food festivals each month.

Peak Mar–May, Oct–NovShoulder Jun–SepHard Jan–Feb, Dec
Why these months

Sources conflict. World Travel Guide: spring (Sept-Nov) and autumn (March-May) are warm with less rain; summer Dec-Feb hot (about 29C) and humid with regular downpours. Lorenzigo blog: best months Oct, Nov, March, April, May. Shortform (own labels from rain-days and hotel cost): dry May-Aug rated peak, Sept/Oct shoulder, Jan/Feb/Nov/Dec 'avoid' (wet), and its page is internally inconsistent. I merged: peak = months two sources agree are good (March-May, Oct-Nov), avoid = Dec-Feb, and left Nov out of avoid despite Shortform. Winter June-Aug is 12-23C and dry (WTG, Shortform). Month numbers are our interpretation.
