Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, sliced into coins
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 1/2 cup water
Steps
- Put the carrots in a pan with the water, butter, honey and salt.
- Cover and simmer 10 minutes until tender.
- Uncover and cook 3 to 4 minutes more until the liquid becomes a glaze that clings.
- Serve them coin-shaped rather than sticks, which many children prefer for no reason anyone can explain.
👨🍳 Sweet and familiar-shaped is where vegetables get accepted first. Start here, not with the broccoli.
