The Chef Amazing Food Corporation · Last updated 11 September 2026
The short version. Chef Amazing suggests dinner. He is a machine, he is sometimes wrong, and you are the cook — which means you check the labels, you judge whether it is done, and you decide what goes on the table.
These terms are an agreement between you and The Chef Amazing Food Corporation. By using chefamazing.com you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
Chef Amazing is in private, invitation-only beta and is free. It is unfinished. Things will change, break and occasionally disappear. We may change or end the service, or close an account, at any time. If we ever start charging, we will tell you first and you will choose.
Read this one properly.
Chef Amazing writes recipes using an AI model. He does his best with the allergies and diets you give him, and we have built him to treat them as absolute. He can still be wrong. A model can misname an ingredient, miss a hidden one, or fail to know what is in a particular product on a particular shelf.
If someone at your table has a food allergy, you must check every ingredient and every label yourself, every time. Do not rely on this service to keep anyone safe. If an allergy is severe, treat his suggestions as a starting point and nothing more.
The same goes for cooking safely: cooking temperatures, storage, reheating, raw fish and raw eggs, and anything about alcohol, foraging or preserving. Use your own judgement and a thermometer.
Nothing here is medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If you are cooking for a medical condition, a pregnancy, or a child with particular needs, ask a professional rather than a chef in a cape.
You must be 18 or older. Keep your password to yourself, give us a real email, and tell us if someone else gets into your account. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
Your recipes, notes and photographs remain yours. You keep every right you have in them, and nothing here stops you using them however you like, anywhere else, forever.
Alongside that, you grant The Chef Amazing Food Corporation a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence, which we may transfer and sub-license, to host, store, reproduce, adapt, reformat, translate, publish, publicly display, distribute and otherwise use the recipes, dish photographs, titles, notes, ratings and comments you submit — in the service itself, and in promoting, marketing and developing it, in any medium now known or later invented. That includes showing your dishes to other cooks inside Chef Amazing, printing them, and using them in the Corporation's own publications.
This licence does not end when you delete a piece of content or close your account. Deleting removes it from your cookbook and from the live service going forward, and we will honour that; but copies already published, printed, or shown to other people do not vanish from the world, and we are not able to recall them.
Fridge and cupboard photographs are included in that licence too, and there is a switch:
One thing is never published, whatever the switch says: anything about the people you cook for — their names, ages, allergies, diets or dislikes. That is covered by the Privacy Policy, not by this licence.
Separately from all of the above, we use aggregated and de-identified information about what people cook, buy and put on their lists — yours among thousands of others, with every name stripped off — to run the service and to work out what he should suggest. That stays inside the Corporation. We do not share or sell it outside the Corporation unless you have opted in to something that says we will, such as linking a grocer for savings. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly how that works.
For recipes and finished-dish photographs we will either credit you by the name on your account or remove identifying details. Tell us which you prefer and we will follow it.
You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence for everything you submit — that the recipe is yours to give, and that you took the photograph or have permission to use it. A recipe you copied from a book, a magazine or another website is not yours to license to us; see the next section but one. If you submit something you do not have the rights to, you are responsible for that, not us.
Recipes he writes for you are yours to cook, keep, print and share as you like. He generates them for many people, so similar suggestions may appear in other kitchens; we make no claim that any recipe is original or exclusive to you.
If you bring in a recipe from a book, a website or a publication, it stays theirs. Keep it to your own kitchen, do not republish it, and respect the rights of whoever wrote it. We remove infringing material when we are told about it.
Chef Amazing is a platform. Cooks share recipes, photographs, notes, comments and ratings with each other here, and what appears in Explore, in a group, in a club or on somebody's shared recipe is theirs, not ours. We do not write it, we do not check it before it appears, and showing it to you is not an endorsement of it — not of the recipe, not of the claim, not of the person.
That cuts both ways, and you should know which way it cuts for you:
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for content other people post, or for what happens when you rely on it. Where the law gives a platform protection for material its users publish, we rely on it.
We will take down anything on request. If something here is yours and should not be, or is about you and should not be, or is simply wrong, write to hello@chefamazing.com with a link to it and a line on what the problem is. You do not have to be a lawyer about it and you do not have to explain yourself at length.
We may also remove anything, at any time, without being asked, if we think it does not belong here — but we are a small company and we are not sitting in front of everything that gets posted, so the request above is the fastest route.
The service links to and uses other people's things — videos, recipe archives, maps, shops. We are not responsible for what happens on those.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not promise it will be available, correct, or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Chef Amazing Food Corporation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, spoiled dinners, or illness or injury arising from food prepared using the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months, or one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to cover us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. The sections on your content, liability and governing law survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of New York County, New York will hear any dispute. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you directly if a change matters. Carrying on using the service means you accept the new version.
Write to hello@chefamazing.com.
Chef Amazing remembers every place you ate, keeps the lists friends send you, and helps you cook it at home.
