Cranberry Aperol spritz
Photo: Gimme Some Oven
The spritz everyone knows, made for the season: cranberry juice in with the Aperol and prosecco, and a few berries and rosemary in the glass. Two minutes, no shaker.

Unsweetened cranberry juice keeps it bitter-bright instead of sugary, which is the whole point of a spritz.
You need
- Ice
- 2 oz Aperol
- 2 oz chilled cranberry juice, unsweetened or lightly sweetened
- 3 oz chilled prosecco or other sparkling wine
- 1 oz chilled soda water
- Fresh cranberries, an orange slice and a rosemary sprig, to garnish
How to make it
- Fill a wine glass or rocks glass about two-thirds with ice.
- Pour in the Aperol, cranberry juice and prosecco, then top with the soda water.
- Stir once, gently.
- Drop in a few cranberries, an orange slice and a rosemary sprig and serve right away.
Chef's notes- For a pitcher, keep the same ratios and add the prosecco and soda just before pouring.
- Freeze cranberries to use as ice cubes that won't water it down.
