Where to eat in Toronto

Toronto eats by immigrant community: Cantonese dim sum and roast meat in Chinatown and Scarborough, Trinidadian roti and doubles, Jamaican patties and jerk, and Portuguese charcoal chicken, all next to the peameal bacon sandwich at St. Lawrence Market. The Michelin Guide arrived in 2022 and the 2026 edition lists 13 one-star restaurants in the city, but the cheaper counters are why people return.
