No. 47The one to order
The bauru: roast beef, tomato, pickle and a melted four-cheese blend in a French roll
The bar that invented the bauru in the 1930s, still in the building on the Largo do Paissandu where it opened in 1922; the recipe is written into the law of the city of Bauru.
25 min (with cooked roast beef) · 2 sandwiches. Chef's home version of the bauru, invented in the 1930s at Ponto Chic in São Paulo: thin rare roast beef, tomato and pickle in a French roll, with a blend of cheeses melted in a pan with water until it pours like fondue.
